Government Affairs

Contractors and small businessmen are continuously seeking to make their voices heard on national regulatory and legislative issues affecting their interests. LA/NECA's Governmental Affairs Committee focuses its activities in three basic areas: monitoring and participation in the legislative process, advocating regulatory reform and congressional oversight, and developing political awareness and participation by NECA members.

Additionally, the Chapter maintains a liaison with your representatives at the state and national levels. Members are represented and advised of any changes or proposed changes in local, state and national legislation. Through LA/NECA's governmental affairs work, members have a voice in influencing legislation and are kept up-to-date on legislative and regulatory issues that affect the industry.
